Partner Terms

Last updated August 4, 2026

These terms cover the Roam guest code issued to a property (a hotel, hostel, resort, guesthouse, homestay or host). They sit alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Roam is operated by Mike Melchiot from the United States.

1. What the code is

We issue your property a discount code you can pass to your guests. A guest who uses it books a vehicle on Roam at a 5% discount on the rental, and their booking is credited to your property.

The discount is funded by Roam, out of our own service fee. It is not taken from your rates and not taken from the vehicle owner. Nobody earns less because your guest saved.

2. There is no money for you to handle

This is not a commission, referral fee, or revenue share, and we want to be plain about that rather than let it be assumed. Roam pays your property nothing. The benefit is the discount your guests receive and the service you can offer them. There is nothing for you to collect, invoice, remit, or pay out, and no money passes through your hands at any point.

3. What we ask of you

  • Share the code with your own guests, on your booking confirmations, house manual, website, or a card at reception.
  • Describe it accurately. It is a discount on a Roam booking, not a service your property provides or is responsible for.
  • Don't sell, publish the code to discount sites or coupon aggregators, or present it as a public offer. It is for your guests.
  • Tell us if your property changes hands or stops trading, so we can retire the code.

4. What Roam is, and is not

Roam is a booking platform. We do not own, rent out, or insure any vehicle. Every rental is a direct agreement between the vehicle Owner and the Rider, on the Owner's own rental contract, and Roam is not a party to it. Your property is not a party to it either.

Passing on a code does not make your property responsible for a rental, and it does not make Roam responsible for anything that happens at your property. Neither of us takes on the other's liabilities by taking part in this.

5. Ending it

Either of us can end this at any time, for any reason, with no notice and nothing owed. You can ask us to retire your code, and we can withdraw or deactivate it, for example if it is being used outside your guests or the property is no longer trading. Bookings already confirmed at the discounted price are unaffected and go ahead as booked.

The arrangement is non-exclusive on both sides. You may work with anyone else you like, and so may we.

6. Your details

We store the contact details you give us so we can issue the code, send you your reception card, and let you know when a guest uses it. We handle them as described in our Privacy Policy. Ask us at any time to stop emailing you or to delete your details.

7. Changes

We may update these terms as the programme grows. If we change them materially we will email the address we hold for your property. Continuing to share your code after that means the updated terms apply.
